WHAT WE DO / 04

Generation & storage

Project structuring, feasibility and technical advisory for solar, wind and hydro generation, battery energy storage, micro-grids and mini-grids for underserved communities, and demand-side management — including full-lifecycle streetlighting retrofit programmes.

Gridline structures the project and provides the technical authority — feasibility, owner’s engineering, transaction support — while EPC partners carry out construction.

TYPICAL BUYER: IPPS, MINISTRIES, DFIS

What Gridline delivers

  • Feasibility and grid-impact studies for solar, wind and hydro projects
  • Battery energy storage sizing and siting for peak shaving and reliability support
  • Micro-grid and mini-grid programme design for communities beyond economic reach of the main grid
  • Demand-side management: investment-grade audits, load management and efficiency measures
  • Streetlighting retrofit programmes — audit to design to installation to operation, maintenance and financing, as one structured programme

Typical engagement

Generation engagements range from a single feasibility study for a ministry to owner’s-engineer roles on IPP projects through financial close and commissioning. Mini-grid work is structured as a portfolio: sites are surveyed, ranked and contracted in batches, with Gridline holding technical acceptance at each gate.

DEMAND-SIDE MANAGEMENT · FLAGSHIP PROGRAMME

Streetlighting retrofit, audit to financing

Under demand-side management, Gridline develops streetlighting retrofit programmes as one structured undertaking — from the investment-grade audit that makes the savings bankable, through design, installation, and long-term operation and maintenance, to the financing that pays for it out of the energy the retrofit saves.

  1. 01

    INVESTMENT-GRADE AUDIT

Luminaire-by-luminaire inventory, metered baseline consumption and a savings model rigorous enough for a lender to underwrite — not an estimate, a bankable baseline.

  2. 02

    DESIGN

Photometric design, luminaire and controls specification, and retrofit sequencing engineered to the road classes and switching infrastructure the network already has.

  3. 03

    INSTALLATION

Executed by qualified contracting partners under Gridline’s technical direction, with every retrofitted point verified against the audit inventory before acceptance.

  4. 04

    OPERATE & MAINTAIN

Performance monitoring against the audited baseline, scheduled maintenance regimes and fault response — so the savings persist for the life of the programme, not just the first year.

  5. 05

    FINANCING

Structured by Gridline so verified energy savings service the investment — ESCO-style and savings-backed structures that let municipalities and utilities retrofit without upfront capital.
